Make sure you identify the fabrics you have purchased and always refer to your care label before washing and drying your items. When hanging or folding your items, keep in mind that the fabrics need to breathe so try not to pack too tightly. Below are some guidelines to help you take care of specific garments in your GAZMAN wardrobe. Shirts Take care of your shirt collars. Skin products Such as sunscreen and deodorants have the potential to stain the shirt, so be sure to wash this area immediately if you notice staining. Pack your shirts well. Button the shirts completely up when packing. Make sure you pile the shirts and place them in the most secure area of the bag to protect the collar. Air dry on hangers (preferably those that do not go past the width of the shoulder of a shirt so that you can avoid hanger marks). When ironing follow the order of collar, cuffs, and then the rest of the shirt. Always test the iron temp on an inconspicuous place in case you have set your iron to a setting that is too high. For less thought and effort, we suggest investing in our Wrinkle free or Easy-Care range. Our Wrinkle free shirts are constructed with taped seams and have a wrinkle free finish, that allows you to simply wash and wear without the worry of ironing. Shop our Easy-Care range - this shirt is a breeze to maintain and easy to iron due to its easy-care finish. Both styles are great for travelling. Denim Try to wash your denim less to maintain the fit and prevent wear and tear. Make sure to wash your jeans inside out and on a cold wash to prevent fading and shrinkage. Leave your jeans to hang dry to avoid shrinkage and material break down. Chinos Try to wash your Chinos less as the machine can take a toll on your chinos. Turn inside out and place on a cold wash to help colour fading over time. Hang to dry in a shaded area after washing. Fold in half and hang over a clothes hanger or fold your chinos to store away. Knitwear We always suggest hand washing your knitwear as merino and lambswool takes a little extra care. Handwash unless Gazman care instructions advise that machine washable is appropriate. When machine washing pay attention to the cycles and temperatures your machine has on offer, we suggest selecting the most delicate option and always a cool cycle. Most laundry powders are too harsh on wool knits. Our team suggest investing in a wool wash that will be softer on your knitwear. When drying your knitwear simply dry flat and out of direct sunlight. When storing your knitwear, make sure to fold the item at the seams to avoid fold lines. Do not hang any knitwear items as this may affect the shape and retention of the garment. Sports coats Dry clean unless otherwise advised on care instruction. Try to spot clean if there are any marks and hang to air dry. Try to store the garment on a sturdy hanger. If you are storing your sports coat away for a long time, use a plastic covering that allows airflow to protect the garment.
