Information we collect
To provide the best possible services to you, we may ask
for personal details such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address. We use these details for:

  • accepting customer orders
  • maintaining V.I.P. customer lists
  • making credit card purchases
  • making cheque purchases
  • giving tailoring instructions
  • arranging product holds
  • accepting gift voucher purchases
  • recording customer accident details
  • processing cash refunds

You have no obligation to provide any information
requested by GAZ MAN. If you choose to withhold
requested information however, we may not be able
to provide you with the service you require.

GAZ MAN assures you that all information collected will
be safely stored and will be only used for the purposes
for which it was collected i.e. to service your requirements.


We do not use or share personal information for any
purpose other than for the purpose for which it was
disclosed. We do not provide or sell personal information to other organisations. However we may disclose personal information when cooperating with agencies performing law enforcement functions, where this is GAZ MAN’s legal obligation to disclose.

In addition to customer information, other information
collected at GAZ MAN Head Office will be generated
in a number of ways. Such occurrences would include:

  • Employment Applications & Resumes
  • Wholesale Customer Applications and Credit
    Applications
  • Trade References
  • Contract Arrangements
  • Staff Travel Arrangements

Any information collected will be safely stored and only
be used for the purposes for which it was collected.

How you would gain access to your records
Our information policy means you can access all the
information you have given us and make any changes
you deem appropriate. Records can be viewed by
requesting in writing to the GAZ MAN Privacy
Officer – 403 TOORONGA ROAD, HAWTHORN
EAST, VIC, 3123. We welcome your feedback to
correct any inaccuracies. Suitable identification will
be required before details are released.

Security
GAZ MAN realizes the importance of your information
and treats this as confidential. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Your rights
While information is being sought from you for the sole
purpose of improving GAZ MANs service level, you have the right to either refuse to provide any information or to be anonymous. Of course, this may not always be possible as some of our services can only be provided if we have certain information.

If you are a GAZ MAN V.I.P. customer, information
may also be used for the purposes of sending GAZ
MAN catalogues and promotional information, which
we believe, would interest you. However, if you do
not wish to receive such future promotions, you can
let us know by visiting a GAZ MAN store and request
to be taken off the mailing list, or requesting this in
writing to the GAZ MAN Privacy Officer.
